The WEISSE RING was founded in Mainz on 24 September 1976 as a "non-profit organization for the support of crime victims and for the prevention of criminal offenses" and currently has about 50,000 members. Irrespective of sex, age, religion, nationality and political conviction, victims of crime receive immediate and rapid assistance. For this purpose, a network of more than 3,000 voluntary volunteers was set up in 420 out-of-town centers. In addition, the Association for Politics, Judiciary, Administration, Science and the Media is a competent and acknowledged contact in all aspects of victim protection and protection.
